Lacoste

is a world-famous French brand established in 1929. Lacoste produces apparel, footwear, eyewear, cosmetics and perfumes, and since recently home accessories. The beginnings of Lacoste are associated with René Lacoste’s passion for tennis. Lacoste’s innovative design, a polo shirt, became a cult product of Lacoste and was an alternative to the existing t-shirts worn by tennis players. René reportedly played fiercely like an alligator, so the bag landed in his hands. The press nicknamed the young player “Alligator”, and after some time the image of a crocodile became the hallmark of Lacoste.
